We were honoured to participate in the International Higher Education Summit & Exhibition (IHEEIC), held from 11–12 November as part of Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s 40th anniversary celebration.

The inaugural summit brought together over 300 global participants to explore the theme “Higher Education at the Crossroads: Empowering the Triple Engine of Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Commercialisation”. Being part of this platform allowed us to share our work, exchange insights, and engage in discussions that strengthen innovation, talent development, and industry collaboration in the region.

As part of the research and start-up showcase as part of the InnovFest 2025, we presented Tanya Brunei, an AI-driven public interface built on the IBM Platform. Developed in just four days during its pilot phase, the platform demonstrates Brunei’s speed and agility in digital innovation. Tanya Brunei provides the public with easy access to information from the Ministry of Transport & Infocommunications and the Ministry of Finance & Economy via a user-friendly AI chatbot, simplifying navigation of government portals. Over time, it will expand to other agencies, evolving into a comprehensive AI platform for public services.
